Tumkur is land of hills and hilltop temples. One such hill is Devarayana Durga. It is actually in the forest area. But much of the forest is lost in the name of development. deforestation is rampant due to illegal settlements and encroachments coupled by lack of rain.
Tumkur is 70Kms from Bangalore. Durga is around 15Kms from Tumkur. Lord Narasimha is the deity. The Bhoga Narasimha temple is at the base of Hill and Yoga Narasimha is on the top. Both are ancient and majestic.
