Herur Hills is situated in Herur village near Shanivarasante of Madikeri district in Karnataka.
It is around 220 kms from Bangalore, well connected by road. The trek to peak is a 3kms simple uphill walk on the Jeep track under a pleasent cover shrubs. The peak offers spellbinding view of surrounding and sunset and sunrise are especially spectacular to watch. Regular buses are available till Shanivarasante and the peak is around 25 kms.
There are 2 - 3 view points at the top each offer different spectacles, majestic Western Ghat ranges at one side and the wast expanse of Deccan Platue around it.
