Chelavara peak

Chelavara Peak is also called Chomakund is near Virajpet of Madikeri (Coorg).

From Madikeri it is around 30 Kms via Napoklu, Kakkabe and Chelavara falls. The trek involves an uphill walk on the steep trail for around 2 Kms. Alternatively, there is a smaller hill opposite to it which offers mesmerizing hill range view. This also involves 2 kms uphill trek, but, on a jeep trail, relatively easy.

Kotebetta

Kotebetta is a great hill in the Western Ghat Ranges of Madikeri. We started at 4.00pm on 26^th December 2015 from Coorg. At Madapura took a left turn towards Garvale and Surlabi. Kote Betta is around 5 Kms from Garvale to the left. 

There is a cave temple at the foothills. It took only 45 mins to reach and we were waiting for the sunset.

There is a small hillock near the temple which we chose for watching the sun set behind the majestic Mandalpatti hill ranges.
